FiveT Fintech Appoints Mathias Brenner and Tobias Haeckermann as Growth Partners
ZURICH, Switzerland, FiveT Fintech today announced the appointment of Mathias Brenner and Tobias Haeckermann as Growth Partners. The duo co-founded Sherpany, a meeting management platform that scaled to serve over 450 enterprise clients including Raiffeisen, Zurich Insurance, and Julius Baer before its acquisition by Datasite in 2024.
Brenner and Haeckermann will work directly with FiveT Fintech's portfolio companies, primarily B2B software businesses serving financial services, to accelerate growth, refine go-to-market strategies, and scale operations.
"Mathias and Tobias scaled Sherpany from zero to category leadership in enterprise software," said Alexander Christen, FiveT Fintech Co-Founder and CEO. "That operational experience is exactly what our portfolio companies need as they expand across European markets."
The appointments come as FiveT Fintech raises and deploys its second fund, targeting Series A+ companies building software for finance and adjacent enterprise verticals. The firm's differentiated approach notably leverages exclusive relationships with leading Swiss and European financial institutions to validate market demand before investing and focuses on off-market transactions including secondaries and carve-outs.
FiveT Fintech's first fund (2020 vintage) has completed several portfolio exits, including Metaco (acquired by Ripple) and Assetmax (acquired by Infront).
"FiveT Fintech’s demand-validation model means these companies already have traction with tier-one enterprises," said Brenner. "Our role is helping them execute the playbook to scale efficiently."
Haeckermann added: "At Sherpany, we've seen the common pitfalls of scaling in financial services: inefficient procurement processes, difficult sales and implementation cycles, complex pricing models. Our focus is helping management teams navigate these specific challenges as they scale across European markets."
Current Fund II portfolio companies include Rulematch (regulated digital asset exchange), Wyden (institutional trading platform), Orbit Markets (digital asset market maker), Raquest (automated tax recovery), and Storyline (AI-powered video content for wealth management).
